More and more of our clients come to us from beyond the borders of Virginia as our marketing services are not limited to location! Welcome to the Bull & Crowley MediaWorks Newsletter. If you are a first-time visitor to the Newsletter, thanks for joining us. We've got a lot of media projects going on in this current challenging environment. As we wrote in last month's newsletter, media will work for the benefit of any individual or entity, but at its core it works to brand and build business. There have been many challenging times in our history, and history alone will tell us how bad things will become in the near future. Regardless, the success of our economy right now does not depend on Wall Street or more government bailout but on consumer confidence. And consumer confidence is low enough right now for all of us to be very concerned. Until consumer confidence returns, pocketbooks will remain tight and economies will flounder.
In the middle of this challenge, is your business model working? Taking control of your finances and using some adaptable thinking in this economy as a means to survive is critical not only on a personal level, but in your business as well.
Our Client Highlight visits a new local organization in founded in Virginia Beach dedicated to helping our wounded Marines. Check out the Wounded Marine & Family Assistance Program.

Get Rid of the Debt!
Wouldn't it be great if in your personal life right now you were living debt free and had multiple streams of passive income? Congratulations if you are already living a debt-free life. This ideal scenario for your personal life also holds true for your business. One of the most important things you can do in your business is to properly manage the debt!
Businesses that have cash in the bank are going to have a much easier time of surviving whatever a bad economy throws their way than those businesses that don't have access to cash. While building a business on debt is sometimes the only way to start, it can also come back to bite you when times get tough. As access to cash becomes harder, more businesses will struggle to find ways to pay for inventory, salaries and other operating expenses, and more businesses will be forced to shut their doors.
Make a determined effort to stop debt financing, eliminate debt in your business, and set up cash reserves to cover you during tough times. If you are running a business that has been unable to pay off debt, then its time to begin thinking about the viability of your business and business model, and ways to increase revenue. This will be critical for the growth of your business and your ability to adequately market your products and services when others have chosen to chop their marketing budgets.
If you make it through our current economic downturn then chances are good you've done some planning. All of us will learn a great deal from this economy, but one thing in particular is the importance of managing the amount of debt you incur. Again, take strong measures to get debt under control and set up cash reserves to help carry you through when times get tough.

The Wounded Marine & Family Assistance Program is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to support the heroes wounded in the pursuit of our freedom, and their families who often bear tremendous emotional, physical and financial hardship as a result of the injury or deployment of their loved ones. The cost of freedom is high, and our mission is to ensure that our wounded heroes receive all of the support they need and deserve.
Founded in Virginia Beach, Virginia, The Wounded Marine Program meets the very real and practical needs of the men and women in uniform who were called by our country and freely gave of themselves when we needed help. Now, as many suffer severe and often permanent wounds, it is our mission to make sure that we are there for them.
The assistance provided by the WMFAP to these individuals and families can come in many forms including help with major expenses like handicapped accessibility home modifications, wheelchair ramps, specialized mobility equipment, therapy, and automobile modification. The fund also provides for immediate financial assistance for medical expenses, utilities, transportation expense, rent, automotive repair, household repair, heat, groceries and other expenses related to the hardships these heroes and their families face every day.
The needs that face our heroes and their families will continue to be great. Please remember them with your thoughts, prayers, and financial support through the Wounded Marine Program. All of your donations are tax deductible and held to the highest of stewardship.
