“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” ~Chinese Proverb

Take some time this month to find out who you are.  Go away, get away, and get in touch with yourself.

More and more of our clients come to us from beyond the borders of Virginia as our marketing services are not limited to location!  For almost two years now we have worked with Genisoy Food Company, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma to build their entire Web Site, Internet marketing strategy, and now work on an ongoing basis helping get the word out about the benefits of their soy products.  Genisoy is one of the largest providers of soy protein products (Genisoy) and sports nutrition (MLO) in the United States, offering consumers high quality, good tasting, affordable protein bars, shakes and snacks.

Welcome to the Bull & Crowley MediaWorks Newsletter.  If you are a first-time visitor to the Newsletter, thanks for joining us.  We call it “Media Works” because Media does actually work wonders when it is done the way it should be.  The water cooler is abuzz with talk of Wall Street, Corporate greed, and government bailouts.  Everyone seems to have an opinion, and unlike just a few years ago there is a fast and easy way to get to your congressman and make your voice heard.  It’s called an email, which brings us to one focus of this month’s newsletter.  If you are not using a focused, ongoing email newsletter campaign to stay in front of your customers it’s time to start considering it.  Keeping your message and products in front of your customers through the use of a targeted permission-based plan has never been more simple, effective and inexpensive.

Don’t neglect to read our Client Highlight this month, which takes a look at a new organization in Chesapeake making quite a buzz worldwide with a new way of doing business.

Stay Connected

One of the most effective and least expensive ways to stay connected with your current and potential customers is by building a permission-based email list. This practice is one that you really shouldn’t be doing without. You never want to miss the opportunity to communicate with your customers or members, especially when they ask for it!   Your marketing campaign should always include ample opportunity to visit your web site and join your opt-in Newsletter list.

Once you have your Newsletter built and in circulation, use these helpful hints to help it grow:

  • Use a global navigation visitor sign-up box on your web site
  • Use a "Send Page to Friend" link for your web site and Newsletter
  • A special feature that allows your subscribers to forward your email and add a personal note to their friends

If you need help with any of these features, please contact us.  We would be happy to assist you in setting any of this up for your account.

Make sure to Collect Emails everywhere you can!

This form of marketing is all about developing and growing a permission-based email list, which means that a person must give you their consent to be added to your list.  Here are just a few tips for growing your list.

  • Have a sign-up sheet available at your place of business
  • Train employees to collect addresses and permission at every point of contact
  • Collect addresses at tradeshows and events
  • Collect business cards of people who request information
The importance of regular contact with your customers cannot be understated.  The use of an email newsletter campaign makes it effective and affordable.  For more information on how you can begin using and benefitting from an email newsletter marketing campaign, contact us and we can help you get set up.

Get EMPOWERED!

mPOWR launches the world's first peer-to-peer "empowerment" online marketplace to transform the developing world

mPOWR, Inc. of Chesapeake, VA officially announced the launch of the world's first peer-to-peer, online empowerment marketplace communities- a project to bring hope and put an end to poverty and illiteracy worldwide.  The website, www.mpowr.org, is at the heart of a significant, new paradigm for doing business in the developing world. After nearly two years of development, "funders" can now donate money and/or provide interest bearing loans to known, proven and trusted businesses in developing countries through mPOWR.org.

Wherever www.mpowr.org is at work, it will help bring to an end a mentality of dependency, introduce the ideas of personal and social responsibility, foster financial transparency and intentionality, and provide an unprecedented peer-to-peer economic engine.

mPOWR Founder and CEO Eric Watt said, “The goal of mPOWR is to work with field partners on the ground to help create a massive shift away from the rising entitlement mentality toward self-sustaining movements of hope and purpose.” He continued, “The peer-to-peer nature creates the highest level of personal trust for both funders and business owners to work together in a way that is sustainable, strategic and long-term.”
The opportunity for individuals to make a difference worldwide has never been greater.  mPOWR provides a unique possibility to partner with a business owner in the developing world and watch his family grow out of poverty and give back to their community. After registering at www.mpowr.org, funders are free to search by region, size or type of business to discover the opportunity that suits them.  They will then be given an option to help fund the business by providing either a tax deductible donation or an interest bearing loan. They get to choose. Monies will transfer from their online mPOWR account to the field partner and be personally delivered to the business owner within a few days. Donors/Lenders will then be able to track the progress of the business and its impact in the surrounding community.

For step-by-step instructions on how to participate in this world-changing vision, please visit www.mpowr.org.  For additional information contact mPOWR via email at contactus@mpowr.org.

Bull and Crowley gets behind the Walk of Remembrance a first time event to benefit the Wounded Marine & Family Assistance Program.

271 Mile Beirut Remembrance Walk
Meet Doc Doolittle!

In this first-time walk of remembrance, Sgt. Doc Doolittle (Sgt. USMC 1/81 - 6/91, MSG Beirut 7/85 - 7/86), challenges everyone to never forget the sacrifices that were made by our Marines as he walks 271 miles from Virginia Beach, VA to the Marine Corp Base at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.

“The mission of the Beirut Remembrance Walk is clear” states Sgt. Doolittle. "We have organized a walk to honor the memory of our fallen brothers and their families."

This walk is to not only mark the 25th anniversary of that tragic event, but also to remember each Service Member's life lost in Lebanon from 1982 - 1984. It is so friends, family of the fallen, veterans and anyone else has an opportunity to walk a mile for one of our own that were killed in country. The walk kicked-off on 1 October in Virginia Beach, VA and cover 271 miles (one for each man lost), and will culminated at the Beirut Memorial (Jacksonville, NC; just outside Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base) on 23 October, 2008. In Doc’s words, “I am walking to remember those Marines, Sailors and Soldiers that "Gave All" during that period. I know a number of family members and veterans and it is the least I can do to show honor to them and the memory of the fallen.”

Donations will provide lodging, food and support transportation on the walk and all monies over and above costs will be divided equally and sent to the two sponsors listed below.

To donate online right now, click here: Beirut Remembrance Walk 2008 Direct Donation

All proceeds from this amazing feat will benefit The Wounded Marine & Family Assistance Program andVeterans Memorial Day Tribute.
